I have great pleasure and privilege in covering this awesome duet with Anu Anand. A few words about Anu… superbly gifted with a sweet voice, she is a singer with great musical acumen, having the ability to bring life to any song through her expressive and innovative singing.. most of all she has a burning passion for music.. although she is relatively a new entrant to the web world music arena, she has already carved out a niche place for herself in a forum like Muziboo, having captured the musical hearts of so many people around the globe with her mellifluous voice & versatile singing …. She has been a wonderful collaborator in this duet project and I am looking forward to doing more duets with her in the near future.. agjit Singh is a favourite of mine … it is also easier to sing his ghazals compared to any of the others like Ghulam Ali or Hariharan… In spite of that, I ended up with a lot of offs and other mistakes… I recorded this when I was briefly in the right frame of mind, in the wee hours of the morning ( in fact it was around 2.30 am )… a rather hurried exercise in recording & mixing – could’nt find the energy to re do them… so have left them as they are, banking on the tolerance & magnanimous indulgence of my friends here at muziboo … he he he… I may not have been very accurate in terms of adhering to the original harqats as I have rendered this purely out of my memory of hearing this ghazal a long time back…

This song is one of my favourite ones and has been in my wish list for a long time now… a Rafi – Geeta Dutt – O.P.Nayyar combo song….
I have great pleasure in doing this duet with Latha who is one of my favourite singers in Muziboo… she has done a fantastic job bringing out the spirit of this song with her superb voice , rendition and mischievous/naughty expressions that this song demands… in the original song, Rafi Saab takes a back seat and it is Geeta Dutt who really sizzles… so it is here in this cover too… it is truly Latha who has sizzled and made this cover come alive … (superb singing @Latha… and thanks for being such a wonderful collaborator)… it is truly a privilege working with her….
I want to thank Babu for his superb magical mixing & mastering , which has added tremendously to the song… Thanks @Babu Bhai for being ever willing to help…
